Help with the book:
We want as many people as possible to have access to voCHabular. That’s why we want to translate voCHabular into as many native languages as possible. Vocabulary, explanations and instructions will be translated into different native languages. We are currently working on Arabic, Persian(Farsi), Amharic and English versions, but hope to translate into many more in the future. If you want to help us translate into your language please contact us.
Help with the APP:
The members of our team of developers live and work in Lausanne, Bern and Zurich. We communicate in English, French and German, meet to program together or work from home. We’re looking for developers and programmers who want to help us out, so feel free to get in touch if you’re curious and want to support us with your Javascript, CSS/HTML or Ruby on Rails skills. We appreciate all help; any minute you want to invest into our project is valuable for us!
WörCHshop InterCHulturell:
Helping people learn German isn’t voCHabular’s only project. Besides developing a book and app, members of voCHabular also launched the project wörCHshop interCHulturell, an initiative to further promote intercultural dialogue.
Experiences - Encounters - Exchange - Discussions – Broadening Horizons!
Dania, Samri and Ahmad tell us their stories. They are all young, have dreams and ambitions and fled their home countries to start new lives in Switzerland. They study, do apprenticeships, take German courses and much more. In WörCHshop, they share their experiences living in Switzerland as refugees, including life without an official residency status. WörCHshop provides a platform for exchange and learn from one another, ask questions and work together towards a more open and inclusive society. WörCHshop interCHulturell’s participants are primarily young people between 14 and 18 years old. Are you interested in participating in a wörCHshop?
